AFC Dronfield Football Club provides organised football for young players between the age of 7 & 18 in the Sheffield & District Junior Sunday League, and, from this year, in the Rowsley League as well. Founded in 1985 by Mac Mason, AFC Dronfield, (Registered Charity - No. 1112653), was formed to provide local youngsters with just such an opportunity. The club has developed through the years, to a point where it has now finally, along with a couple of other local sporting bodies, secured it's own home facility at Gosforth Fields on Stubley Lane. And so, a new exciting chapter in the club's history begins, as we seek to develop these fields into a facility Dronfield can be proud of.

AFC are also extremely proud of their close link with Sheffield FC - 'The World's Oldest Football Club' - in whose name and colours the club's teams play from the age of 15. Being the junior arm of such a prestigious club brings with it not only pride, but also a responsibility to the overall game of football, it's reputation and honour.More recently, the club has become affiliated to Chesterfield FC, with player and coaching development being the main goals of the link.
